Character Development

So far we have decided the film title Science boys and the subject matter four teen boys all with an interest for science and how they deal with school. Me and Flossi have desided to try and incorporate some sort of sterotype into each character making them individuals, their friendship based upon their liking for science.

Characters

Matt

We've decided that Matt will be the 'leader' of the group and the voiceover for the beginning. To make his character suit his leadership role we want to make him out to be a confident, self assured character. His confidence sometimes 'mistaken' for arrogance and cockiness. We also want to make him out to be the 'ladies man' and also the slight impression that he feels he is better than the rest of the group when in actual fact he isn't. The dress sense is important in establishing each character so we want Matt to be wearing what he deems trendy clothing.

Ashley

Clued up and sees through Matts arrogance and cockiness. Sarcastic and witty. The most feminate member of the group and into his styling/fashion. To fit with this more feminate exterior we think his character would suit being the most image conscious something we really want to draw on in the opening titles. We want him to portray the idea he is superior to the rest of them drawing on his sarcasm and wit and we aim to have him the most fashinablt dressed.

Fenton

Ever so slightly eccentric. The least outspoken except from when it comes to science. Won't compete for the limelight unlike Ashley and Matt, sees more important things to do with his time such as science. Has quirky unusual interests. Expresses his slightly quirky personality through his dress sense usually wearing black shades, assortments of hats/waistcoats etc.

Daniel
The clumsiest of the group and the biggest joker. Very intelligent, lacking slightly when it comes to remembering the most basic instruction though. Disorganised. Assumed to be the 'stupidest' because of his joker exterior yet proves to be very bright. Isn't interested in materialistic things, this is reflected in his dress sense.
