Genre: Teen Comedy

As is probably apparent by now, me and Flossi have decided on basing our film/introduction around the teen comedy genre. This is a very successful branch of the film industry and if done well potentially, does very well in box office and on dvd release. Teen comedies usually address problems/ situations/people facing teenagers but in a trivialized, stereotypical way with a comedic outcome. Examples of successful teen comedies are The Inbetweeners Movie, Napoleon Dynamite, American Pie etc, each making huge profits. One of the aspects I believe makes the teen comedy successful is it draws on the sterotypes usually associated with teenagers something we hope to implement into our characters in our film. We want each to be a character in its own right as is shown in the Inbetweeners etc.
