Introduction!

A lot of thought has gone into how we want our introduction to look, we have drawn ideas from our research and our research has reaffirmed some of the ideas we already had.

Location

The most logical location was school. Not solely because of its convienience but because it is a higly relevent setting for Science Boys as the film follows their lives in and out of school. Also because school is a work oriented place it is the ideal setting to establish the characters.

Scene By Scene

Scene 1

Music (to be confirmed) playing from the beginning and throughout. Dolly shot of the side of Daniel rushing through the yard. Carrying his instrument, backpack, folder in hand. Dolly shot pans to see Matt, Ashley and fenton waiting by the door for him. They gesture for him to hurry and he drops his folder. The camera tilts to follow him pick up the folder. The camera then tilts up to see him rush over to the group. The camera then tilts down again to see that Daniel has left a few sheets of paper. This is where we will have the director, producer, editors names etc.  

Scene 2

(These will be the corridoor scenes, we hope to take these all in one shot.)

We want this scene to be the establishing shot of all four walking through double doors. There will be a dolly shot following the characters through the corridoors.  To portray the characters we will have Daniel lagging behind, to portray his disorganised nature, Matt in the middle leading the group ever so slightly with a confident walk, Ashley the far left (we didnt want to put the two more outspoken characters in the middle as we didnt want the other characters to seem irrelevent) and Fenton the far right. It is to be noted that from the beginning of this scene the voice over from Matt will have started.

Scene 3

As the characters progress through the corridoor there will be freeze frames of each character and a breakdown of a bit about them will be given by Matt. within the freeze frame we will also be superimposition of the names of each character onto the screen. 

Scene 4

Once the character approach the science room  we will use a a medium side shot each character entering the room. 

Scene 5

The end shot will be a close up of the door of the science room as it closes abruptly after the last person walks through the door.

Whilst this is encompasses our idea of how we would like for our introduction to look, it is not to say that there will be no changes or modifications.
